About
My name is Angel Cortez. I am currently a second year technician in PCPA's two year student technical theatre conservatory located in Santa Maria, California. My focuses are in scenic painting and props. During my time here at PCPA I have had the opportunity to study scenic art under the directions of Abby Hogan (PCPA's resident scenic charge artist). I grew to love scenic art through fulfilling the designers vision, and bringing an experience to a live audience for them to have something to take home with.
I am hoping to embark on new opportunities, building up my skillset, network with more amazing fellow artist, learn from experienced artisans, and branch out as a young technician.
In my free time I am usually continuing to make art, whether it's digitally or in my sketchbook, always with a pair of headphones on immersed in music.
