I joined PCPA after graduating from high school to be apart of their 2 year technical theatre conservatory. While there, I learned both lecture style and hands-on experience in all aspects of technical theatre. Being a student meant being apart of the show build process in a designated shop and then joining stage crew going into tech-week. I got a feel for all shops, and multiple stage crew positions that have benefited my overall understanding of theatre language and industry.

After completing the program, I got the opportunity to be a summer scenic painting apprentice at the Santa Fe Opera. I then returned as a full-time intern in the paint shop starting in the fall. My time as an intern at PCPA has been a more disciplined version of my time as a student. I am sometimes leading a crew of students in the paint shop, overseeing scheduling, and directly communicating with other departments.
